Melissa, known affectionately as "Missy," has recently taken on the role of guru at The Spot, the new teen center at Ausome. Her extensive background and warm approach make her a natural fit to lead this initiative dedicated to supporting teens with neurodiverse needs.
When she's not guiding teens at The Spot, Melissa is often planning her next adventure. With a deep love for animals—especially elephants—she even spent two weeks in the African Serengeti to observe these majestic creatures up close.
Her passion for Disney also means weekend trips to Disneyland for quality time with her favorite characters, fulfilling a bit of her dream of being a Disney Princess.
Melissa brings seven years of experience within the school district, having supported students at all grade levels and abilities. In both school and private programs, she has worked with young people with a spectrum of needs, from nonverbal individuals to those highly capable, fostering growth through personalized educational and developmental strategies.
Committed to learning, Melissa holds an Early Childhood Education (ECE) and Special Education Teaching Assistant (SETA) certification, along with numerous other qualifications. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Psychology and has plans to complete her Master’s degree, believing that knowledge is key to unlocking potential in the youth she supports.

Angela Melville is an RDI Consultant in Training, dedicated to supporting parents on their journey with their ASD children. As a mother to an 8-year-old on the spectrum, Angela brings both personal and professional insight to her work, guiding parents to understand, connect with, and celebrate their children.
With a passion for inspiring families, Angela believes that every child has a unique light, and her favorite moments come when parents catch that special “glimmer” as they apply RDI techniques in their daily lives.
Beyond her work, Angela loves thrift storing, spending time with family, playing Minecraft, and finding joy in the simple moments that bring connection and warmth.

Fun fact: Ella can sing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" fluently with her mouth closed! Her warmth, creativity, and dedication make her a favorite among the children and families she supports.

Ausome Match Was Built on Optimism & The Belief That
Hard Times Won't Last Forever
Over the years, we’ve watched parents struggle as they went from therapist to therapist only to discover their approach wasn’t working for their child. Combine this with the fact that British Columbia suffers from a lack of autism service providers and we saw an opportunity. We decided to make it our goal to offer better support for kids & teens with autism, and their families, in a way that also supports the therapist. It's a win-win.
Since we started in October 2021, we grew from:
2022: Beginning with a team composed entirely of Behavioral Interventionists operating within homes, our journey commenced within our founder's walk-in closet. Since our inception, we've evolved remarkably.
2023: Our trajectory led us to establish a clinic in Chilliwack, BC, in January 2023. Now, our dedicated team comprises over 20 mentors, including BI's, Therapy Assistants, SLP's, and an occupational therapist. We've proudly introduced RDI behavioral therapy to our community.
2024: Looking ahead, our growth continues. In January 2024, we expanded with a second location—an esteemed head office and RDI Consulting firm nestled in Chilliwack's coveted District 1881. This second site is thoughtfully tailored to provide consultations specifically for parents engaging in RDI therapy. It offers a serene, distraction-free environment, distinct from our therapy clinic across the street.
2025? But our story doesn't end there. Stay tuned as we progress through 2024 and prepare to unveil our new expansion in 2025!

Meet Stephanie Betsch

Meet Stephanie, the visionary behind Ausome Match, serving as its Owner, Chief Strategist, and an esteemed Relationship Development Intervention (RDI) consultant.
Stephanie’s passion for autism support services started with curiosity. She had met parents of little ones with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and was curious to learn more about their unique view of the world. Through hearing the stories of hundreds of families trying to navigate the world of B.C. service providers, Stephanie became aware of the major issue facing these families
While working at one of B.C.’s largest non-profits, Stephanie developed and led social groups and events, managed projects in the Fraser Valley, and became a sought-after advocate on various social issues in the province. She even had the pleasure of meeting with and interviewing regional political figures. It’s with this background that Stephanie created Ausome Match Autism Services and pursued her career as an RDI Consultant.

Steph balances a fun life of friends, adventure, family, kids, and education. She is often in nature in Whistler, at home making sourdough and weird foods, or working on her studies.
Her colleagues call her Sticky Note Steph because, at any given moment, she has 100 sticky notes on the office walls. Steph calls them her “brain explosion”. With a dyslexic mind, she embraces her past, present, and future with a diverse brain that she keeps active and optimistic.

We call ourselves Team Ausome. We’re made up of a bundle of neuro-typical and a-typical professionals from different backgrounds. We have one thing in common, one big audacious goal: to improve the lives of kids, families, and autism therapy service providers.
Over time, our office morning coffee chats became excited talks with spirit-filled brew until we asked ourselves, "What if?"
What if providing autism behavioral services was simpler?
What if service providers wanted to work from home and with like-minded co-workers?
What if parents could stay active in and informed about their child's therapy?
What if everyone felt celebrated?
Our what if's turned into an obsession to change the way BC families saw therapy. This turned into several pilot projects which then turned into Ausome Match Autism Services—an approach to therapy many parents craved.
