We hire our Behavioural Interventionists (BI) based on personality and capability and customize their skill set for each matched child. We want people who are passionate about working with kids and teens alongside their families.

N.B. No bocci for this group. They're pickleball fiends all the way.

Meet Our Specialists:

Trained professionals who oversee therapy, supervise, and mentor our team of Behavioral Interventionists. They work remotely alongside families from across BC. It's like magic - They train the mentors (BI’s and TA’s) to provide quality therapy in-clinic or community.

They also like to play extreme bocci, but that's a story for another day.

Our Story

Ausome Match Was Built on Optimism & The Belief That
Hard Times Won't Last Forever

Over the years, we’ve watched parents struggle as they went from therapist to therapist only to discover their approach wasn’t working for their child. Combine this with the fact that British Columbia suffers from a lack of autism service providers and we saw an opportunity. We decided to make it our goal to offer better support for kids & teens with autism, and their families, in a way that also supports the therapist. It's a win-win.

The more we worked with families and saw changes in their kids, the more addicted we became to finding more ways to simplify life not only for the parents but also for the service providers.

Since we started in October 2021, we grew from:

Bullet with flower

2022: Beginning with a team composed entirely of Behavioral Interventionists operating within homes, our journey commenced within our founder's walk-in closet. Since our inception, we've evolved remarkably.

Bullet with flower

2023: Our trajectory led us to establish a clinic in Chilliwack, BC, in January 2023. Now, our dedicated team comprises over 20 mentors, including BI's, Therapy Assistants, SLP's, and an occupational therapist. We've proudly introduced RDI behavioral therapy to our community.

Bullet with flower

2024: Looking ahead, our growth continues. In January 2024, we expanded with a second location—an esteemed head office and RDI Consulting firm nestled in Chilliwack's coveted District 1881. This second site is thoughtfully tailored to provide consultations specifically for parents engaging in RDI therapy. It offers a serene, distraction-free environment, distinct from our therapy clinic across the street.

Bullet with flower

2025? But our story doesn't end there. Stay tuned as we progress through 2024 and prepare to unveil our new expansion in 2025!

You want the best for your child—so do we! Like, best-best, not silly social norms best.

Meet Stephanie Betsch

Founder, Chief Strategist and RDI Consultant at Ausome Match Autism Services

Meet Stephanie, the visionary behind Ausome Match, serving as its Owner, Chief Strategist, and an esteemed Relationship Development Intervention (RDI) consultant.

Stephanie’s passion for autism support services started with curiosity. She had met parents of little ones with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and was curious to learn more about their unique view of the world. Through hearing the stories of hundreds of families trying to navigate the world of B.C. service providers, Stephanie became aware of the major issue facing these families

While working at one of B.C.’s largest non-profits, Stephanie developed and led social groups and events, managed projects in the Fraser Valley, and became a sought-after advocate on various social issues in the province. She even had the pleasure of meeting with and interviewing regional political figures. It’s with this background that Stephanie created Ausome Match Autism Services and pursued her career as an RDI Consultant.

When not working with her team ...

Steph balances a fun life of friends, adventure, family, kids, and education. She is often in nature in Whistler, at home making sourdough and weird foods, or working on her studies.

Her colleagues call her Sticky Note Steph because, at any given moment, she has 100 sticky notes on the office walls. Steph calls them her “brain explosion”. With a dyslexic mind, she embraces her past, present, and future with a diverse brain that she keeps active and optimistic.

"Ausome Match has been such a great opportunity for me, as I am advancing my knowledge with little humans. I have had the best experience working with everyone at Ausome Match, with all the support and positive energy that everyone showers me with!”

Jasmeen, Ausome Match Behavioral Interventionist

“The team at Ausome Match immediately stood out as unique. Although I've only recently joined the team, I've been active in the autism community for many years. Despite being a mother of two children with autism, I never really gave being a BI a thought. I decided that it would be worth it to try it out when the chance arose. I can confirm that I had that family-like feeling right away. Every kind word that is spoken and every careful action that is taken are the same that I would want for my own children. Being a part of a group that puts their all into whatever they do makes me incredibly proud. I'm overjoyed to be able to help out other families as well. In addition, my work schedule accommodates my busy lifestyle. When my kids are ill or having a bad day, I can be here for them. It is really a blessing that Ausome Match genuinely cares about work/life balance, which can be very hard to find.”

“My name is Maya and I am one of the consultants for AusomeMatch. I feel like I have found my niche! The company is so great to work for. Aside from being a part of a team of dedicated and passionate professionals, there is a great work/life balance due to a mixture of online and in person sessions for consultants. The company’s culture is inclusive and collaborative in nature, and even though our team works in different areas, due to frequent communication and online meetings, I feel as if I am part of a team that supports me as a professional.”

“Choosing to work at Ausome Match was one of the best career decisions I have made. Ausome Match puts the needs of the families first, but also considers the needs of its service providers. I enjoy and look forward to showing up for work every day because of my amazing team! They have done a great job of making everyone feel valued and excited about contributing to the company’s mission. The company culture is collaborative, supportive, and a lot of fun! I highly recommend Ausome Match!”

Our Team

Our Ausome Team of Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational & Behavioural Therapists

We call ourselves Team Ausome. We’re made up of a bundle of neuro-typical and a-typical professionals from different backgrounds. We have one thing in common, one big audacious goal: to improve the lives of kids, families, and autism therapy service providers.

Over time, our office morning coffee chats became excited talks with spirit-filled brew until we asked ourselves, "What if?"

What if providing autism behavioral services was simpler?

What if service providers wanted to work from home and with like-minded co-workers?

What if parents could stay active in and informed about their child's therapy?

What if everyone felt celebrated?

Our what if's turned into an obsession to change the way BC families saw therapy. This turned into several pilot projects which then turned into Ausome Match Autism Services—an approach to therapy many parents craved.

Now’s a great time for autism therapy in BC—let’s work together so we can show you how. Book a meeting to see how we can help.
